George Michael Murphy

George Michael Murphy, 65, of Zaleski, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at his residence.  He was born February 25, 1951 in Logan, son of Betty Ruth Andrews Murphy of Cheshire and the late Francis Joe Murphy.  Mike was married for 36 years to Mary Ann Molihan Murphy, who survives.

He was a past member of the Zaleski Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his mother and wife, Mike is survived by his daughters, Carrie (Jamie) McManis and Christin Murphy both of Zaleski; son, George Michael (Lynn) Murphy Jr. of McArthur; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Harry Murphy of McArthur, Larry (Caroline) Murphy of Oak Hill and Harold (Tina) Murphy of McArthur; sisters, Joan Boring of Cheshire, Beverly (Jerry) Gee of Colorado, Mary (Keith) Fee of McArthur, Ruth (Jim) Green of Chillicothe, Bonnie (Allen) Handley of Cheshire and Alice (Scott) Simms of Virginia.

Mikes wishes were to be cremated.  No services will be held.  Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
