Anna M. Barnard

Anna M. Barnard, 57, of  Logan, formerly of Nelsonville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Pickering House in Lancaster.  She was born December 4, 1959 in Nelsonville, Ohio the daughter of the late Paul E. and Grace Colleen Burt Metcalf.  Anna was married to William Barnard Jr. of Chillicothe, who survives.

She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord.  She was a long-time member of Risen Redeemer Church in Nelsonville.  Anna was a former day care provider and home health care aide.  She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.

Anna is survived by sons, Jonathan Michael Winchell of Logan and Jeremiah Winchell of Fairfield, Ohio; daughter, Wendy Winchell of Logan; grandchildren, Calib Winchell and Austin Atchison; brothers, Sam Metcalf of Logan, Dan Metcalf of Columbus, Thomas (Karen) Metcalf of Nelsonville, Timothy (Misty) Metcalf of Logan, Mark (Wendy) Metcalf of Gallipolis and Phillip Metcalf of Chillicothe; sisters, Martha (Paul) Steinbrink of Nelsonville and Ruth Metcalf of Shawnee; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Sherman S. Winchell and Randall Harkless; daughters, Esther Sue Winchell and Joanna Metcalf; brother, Joseph Metcalf; sister, Mary Winchell.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday January 13, 2017 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.  Pastor John Johnson officiating.  Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, New Addition, Nelsonville.  Friends may call from 6-8 PM, Thursday January 12, at the funeral home.
