Erma J. Bumgardner

Erma J. Bumgardner, 80, of Nelsonville, passed away January 15, 2017 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. She was born February 21, 1936 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Elmer and Biddie May McCoy Monroe.  She was the widow of the late Walter Bumgardner.

She is survived by daughters, Roberta Hall of Logan and Annette (David) Hopstetter of Nelsonville; son, Michael E. (Reanae) Bumgardner of Coolville; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gwinn, Matthew Hall, Jamie Hopstetter, Jan Hopstetter, Christy Hall, Danny Hopstetter and Keith Hopstetter; 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Spangler of Logan; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Kathryn Monroe, Rosella Ruggles and Thelma Spradlin and a brother. Oscar Monroe.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Iris Conrad officiating.  Interment will be at New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge.  Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
