Judith K. Lambert, 64, of McArthur, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Maple Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McArthur. She was born on December 17, 1952 in McArthur, Ohio, daughter of the late Everett and Zelma (Boring) Smith.
Judy was a 1970 graduate of Vinton County High School. She attended Hocking College to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. After becoming a successfully licensed nurse and registered nurse, she continued her education at Capitol University obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
A natural born care-giver, the field of nursing was a perfect fit for Judy. Over the years she worked with the State of Ohio Department of Mental Health, the Vinton County Senior Citizens, and Mariah Carey’s Summer Camp for Inner City Children. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving family: sons, David (Amber) Lambert, and Daniel Smith; daughters, Amber (T.J.) Johnson and Amy (Mander) Isaac; grandchildren: Christina Tinker, Brandon Lambert, Sarah Isaac, Keanu Jordan, Demitrius Smith, Kaitlynn Sexton, Bree Lambert, Ava Lambert, and Zane Riley; great-grandchildren: Alex Lambert and Evelynn Tinker; sisters: Loretta (Tom) Faris, Valerie Downard, Rochelle (Ralph) Kille, and Barbie Bora; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by three grandchildren: Matthew, Joseph, and Jennifer Isaac; brother, Everett Smith, Jr. and infant brother, Richard Smith; as well as a sister, Sherry Faulkner.
A celebration of life visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Vinton County Community Building, 31935 State Route 93, McArthur.
