Charles Boyd Weed

March 25, 1945 — February 13, 2017

Charles Boyd Weed, 71, of New Straitsville, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at his residence.  He was born March 25, 1945 in Zanesville, son of the late Ithamar “Itch” D. and Sara “Sally” Lemert Weed.  Charles was married to Patricia Shaner Weed, who survives.

Charles was an attorney and a Navy Veteran, having served in the JAG Corp.  He was also a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Logan Amvets, Perry County Republican Central Committee, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Perry County Bar Association and the Hocking County Bar Association.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his daughters, Rachel Weed of Columbus, Anna Weed of Chicago and Sarah Grace (Brett) Sisbarro of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Ethan and Lilly; brother, Don Weed of Switzerland and sister, Judy Lindner of Cincinnati.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Township Rd. 234, Logan, with Pastor Jim Custer and Rev. Steve Hubbard officiating.  Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Perry County, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.  Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
