Mary Maxine Dalton, 92, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 10, 1924 in Athens County, the daughter of the late Floyd and Goldie Kisor Clark. She was the widow of the late Donald R. Dalton.
Maxine’s first love was always her family. She was a faithful member of Connett Methodist Church where she taught the children’s class for many years and she was a 1942 graduate of Buchtel High School.
She is survived by her son Donald Larry (Lana) Dalton of Dover, TN; daughters, Patricia (Tim) Colwell and Norma Patton both of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Amber Pyle (Tami Wines), Thomas (Kris) Pyle, Lora (Doug) Carter, Michael Fouty, Karen (Michael) Flores, Lynn Odenthal and Sherry Gammons; great grandchildren, Jesse, Jennifer, Jacob, Trevor, Wade, Grant, Will, Ryan, Kyle, Mark, Christa, Mya, Brandon and Ethan; great-great grandchildren, Kathryn, Mia, Sophia, Robert, Harper, Henry and Charlie; brother, Wayne (Betty) Clark of Nelsonville; sister, Margaret (Carol) Dishong of Nelsonville; sister-in-law, Nancy Clark and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by daughter, Donna Marie Dalton; sisters, Betty (Frank) Lautner and Dollie (Benjamin) Allen; a brother, Charles Clark; an infant brother; sons-in-law, Michael Patton and Thomas Pyle, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM , Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Pastor Robert VanBibber officiating. Interment will be at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
