Tanya Lee Howe, 72, of New Marshfield, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born April 20, 1944 in Athens, daughter of the late Gerald D. (Thelma) Priser and mother, Mary Elizabeth Alexander Priser.
She was a 1962 graduate of Nelsonville High School. She was a retired secretary for the Hocking College. Member of Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Nelsonville, where she was Chair of the Alter Guild, Secretary of Mission Council and Feeding Ministry; member of Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion, Post #20, Athens.
Tanya is survived by dear friend and long-time companion, Jack Sickels of the residence; sons, Greg (Tammy) Howe of Logan, Dennis Howe of Grove City and Gary (Pam) Sickels of New Marshfield; daughter, Dawn Sickels of Carbondale; grandchildren, Patrick (Stacie) Howe, Daniel (Brittany Reed) Howe, Mac (Molly) Howe, Eric Sickels, Kaci (Steve Cvetanovich) Howe, Erin Howe, Allison Sickels and Jordan Spicer; great grandchildren, Aiden and Issac Howe; sisters, Barbara (Forbes) Hotchkiss of Wisconsin and Connie (Richard) Elliott of Nelsonville; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved dog “Nikki”.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 13, 2017 at Church of the Epiphany, 193 Jefferson St., Nelsonville where the family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service. Friends may also visit Sunday March 12, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
