Paul Carlton Cecil Jr.

Paul Carlton Cecil Jr., 58, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.  He was born February 27, 1959 in Charleston, West Virginia, son of Frances R. (McVey) Cecil of Allensville and the late Paul Carlton Cecil Sr.  Paul was married to Diane (Luster) Cecil, who survives.

He retired as the head mechanic from the Vinton County Ohio Department of Transportation after 30 years.  Paul was a very adventurous man who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and playing cards.

Along with his mother and wife, Paul is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Sam) Sechkar of Athens and Marie (Richard Reffitt) Cecil of Hamden; son, Benjamin (Shyann) Cecil of Jackson; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Rose; sister, Carla Cecil of McArthur and brother, Charlie (Jan) Cecil of McArthur.

He was preceded in death by his father; infant children, John Paul Cecil and Laura Marie Cecil; maternal grandparents, Mary and John McVey and paternal grandparents, James Edward and Ival Cecil.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Wes Gallaugher officiating.  Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 6-8 p.m.
