Amy E. Puckett

Amy E. Puckett, 80, of Ray, Ohio, passed away at her home on Monday, August 1, 2022. Amy was born November 29, 1941, in Allensville, the daughter of the late Charles Stewart and Florence (Nichols) Murdock. She was the widow of the late Donald E. Puckett, her husband of 60 years.

Amy’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She worked alongside her husband, Don, at their business Don Puckett Logging and Lumber. She also enjoyed family fishing trips to Santee Cooper in South Carolina. Amy was a member of the McArthur Eagles AEIRE #2279 Ladies Auxiliary.

Amy is survived by her sons, Timothy (Jackie) Puckett of Ray and Jeffrey (Missy) Puckett of Londonderry; daughters, Linda (Mark) Ault of Chillicothe, Barbara Sergent of Londonderry, and Nancy Puckett of Londonderry; grandchildren, Aaron, Rebecca, Michaela, Casey, Corey, Adam, Michelle, and Brad; great grandchildren, Fisher, Rhett, Miles, Laney, Gretchen, Harry, Calvin, and Emmy; and brother, William (Peg) Stewart of Chillicothe.

In addition to her parents and husband, Amy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie Sergent; son-in-law, James Sergent; sister, Alice Graves; and brother, Terry Stewart.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, August 5, 2022, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Ray. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5 - 8 pm with an Eagles service at 7 pm.
