Ann C. Spencer, 84, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Altercare Lanfair Center in Lancaster. She was born October 18, 1936, in Carbon Hill, Ohio, daughter of the late Willard and Esther Evans Matheny. Ann was married to Benny Jon Spencer, who survives.
She was a former schoolteacher in South Bloomingville, Carbon Hill and Germany. Ann was a member of Carbon Hill Christian Church and was a lifetime member of CWF in Carbon Hill.
She is survived by her sons, Mark (Deeann) Spencer of Woodstock, Georgia, Jay Spencer of Canton and Stacey (Cheri) Spencer of Highpoint, North Carolina; grandchildren, Katie Hunter, Allison Bruhn, Trent Mason and Marc Mason and great grandchildren, Clara Ann Hunter, Avery Bruhn and Renee Mason.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Matheny.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2021, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St. Logan, with Jon Hanning officiating. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Ann Spencer to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
