Anna Lee Johnson

Anna Lee Johnson, 85, of McArthur, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at Maple Hills Nursing Home. She was born June 15, 1938, in Knott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Chester and Minnie (Conley) Collins.

She worked for many years for Austin Powder and more recently, Vinton County National Bank. Anna Lee was a member of Cornelious Chapel Church in Creola.

Anna Lee is survived by her sisters, Carol (Ralph) Moore of McArthur and Bonnie Swango of Peebles, Ohio; sister-in-law, Marsha Collins; two nieces, three nephews, five great-nieces, seven great-nephews, and one great-great-niece.

In addition to her parents, Anna Lee is preceded in death by two brothers, James Collins and Eugene Collins; niece, Regina; nephew, Steve; and special friend, Tom Brown.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Conley Cemetery, Creola. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm, and Thursday, from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
