Anthony Dale "Andy" Chaney

Anthony Dale “Andy” Chaney, 60, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday January 23, 2019 at his residence.  He was born November 3, 1958 in Athens County, Ohio, son of the late Clifford and Mona Blackford Chaney.  He was married to Helen Sears-Chaney, for 29 years, who survives.

He was a Manager for various retail establishments, and he attended Oak Grove Wesleyan Church in Nelsonville.

Andy is survived by his children, Robert (Jamie) Sears of Akron, Andrea (Darin) Trippier of Nelsonville, Michael (Jessie) Chaney of Nelsonville, Anthony D. Chaney of Pataskala, Jen (David Mayes) Sears of Nelsonville and Ashley (Steve Hunter) Sears of Redtown; thirteen grandchildren; many adopted grandchildren; brother, Bruce Chaney of New Marshfield; many nieces, nephews and special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughters, Stephanie K. Mayes and Kayleigh Paige Hunter; brother, David Chaney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.  Pastor Larry Swart officiating.  Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Nelsonville.  Friends may visit on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
