Arthur Francis Kuhn

Arthur Francis “Butch” Kuhn, 76, of Logan, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2019 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe.  He was born June 27, 1942 in Logan, Ohio, son of the late Luther and Betty Riggs Kuhn.

Butch was a graduate of Logan High School where he excelled in football and track. He left college before graduation and served two tours in Vietnam with the United States Navy and was stationed at Port Hueneme in Oxnard, California.  He was extremely proud to have been in the newspaper business as editor at several newspapers including the Logan Daily News, the Portsmouth Daily Times and the Record Herald in Washington Court House.  He was a former member of the Kiwanis in Portsmouth and the Moose Lodge in Gahanna. He loved his family and spending time outdoors. Later in life, Butch returned to Ohio University and received his bachelor's degree in 2012.

Butch is survived by his sons, Byron Kuhn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Damon (Vikki) Kuhn of Logan and Donovan (Tammi) Kuhn of Gahanna; daughters, Laura Dorsky of Michigan and Catherine (Robbie) Hines of Lancaster; grandchildren, Jenna Kuhn of Logan, Madison (Tommy) Wilson of Logan, Victoria Kuhn of Logan, Benjamin Kuhn of Lancaster, Mandi Tullos of Johnstown, Justin Tullos of Gahanna and Joshua Kuhn Hall of Lancaster; great grandchildren, Kia, Lilly Ann, Aurora, Gwynevere and Raelynn; sister, Paula Kuhn Brennick of Florida; nieces, Rochelle (Dwayne) Hanson of Logan and Tiffany (Darren) Nelson of Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 4, 2019 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, Ohio 43138 with Rev. Charles Fidler officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan where graveside military honors will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
