Arthur "Randy" Randolph Woods Sr.

Arthur “Randy” Randolph Woods Sr., 87, of Zaleski, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at his residence.  He was born March 21, 1930 in Zaleski, son of the late Walter and Mable Rhoades Woods.  Randy was married to Judy Thacker Woods, who survives.

He was retired heavy equipment operator for Benedict Inc. in McArthur.  Randy was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, was a life member of the McArthur Eagles AERIE #2279 and was a member of the McArthur VFW Post #5299.

Randy is survived by his son, Arthur Randolph (Angie) Woods Jr., of Zaleski; daughters, Margaret (Tim Fuller) Thompson of New Plymouth and Karen (Daniel) Clemons of Creola; grandchildren, Michael and Markie Thompson, DJ, Justin and Andrew Clemons, Ciera Huffman and Kassi and Calli Woods and a great grandchild, Colton Huffman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Zaleski, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 p.m. where an Eagles service will be held at 7 p.m.
