Barbara "Bobbie" Kay Partlow

Barbara Kay “Bobbie” Partlow was born May 24, 1960 in Dr. Bullock’s office in McArthur.  She was the daughter of the late Marvin “Pete” and Dian Partlow.  She was a retired Maintenance Director in Florida, where she lived for 22 ½ years.  Bobbie came back home in January of 2009 to help care for her mother.  She was a lover of animals and called herself “God’s Little Shepard”.

She was a 1978 graduate of Vinton County High School and was an EMT for Vinton County.   Bobbie also worked for Wild Life Rescue Inc. of Florida.  She studied and finished her life safety course for Shadowoood Apt of Sarasota and Greenbrier Nursing Home of Bradenton, Florida.  Bobbie volunteered at the Oklahoma Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing in logistics.  She attended the First Christian Church of McArthur and MCC, Metropolitan Community Church in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Bobbie is survived by her life partner, Mary Coulthard of McArthur; sister, Kelly (Walt) Barnett Weiland of Wellston; nieces and nephews, Camie, Derek and Lacie Barnett; great nieces and nephew, Aaliyah Jeffrey, Blaise Doyle; Callie Doyle and Cash Barnett; uncle, Gene Buskirk of Michigan; 5 dogs; 2 cats; 8 birds and a horse.

Bobbie and Mary met in 2004 in Florida and fell in love right away.  She knew she had found her soul mate.  Together, they went on cruises; one to Mexico and one to Alaska with Mary’s whole family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mary Coulthard for the care of the animals.
