Barbara Carolyn Boyer

Barbara Carolyn Boyer, 77, of Hamden, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at her residence.  She was born May 24, 1944, in Vinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Willard and Rozelle Gee Thacker.  Barbara was married to Charles E. “Chuck” Boyer, who survives.

She retired from Austin Powder Company after 34 years of service.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Barbie Boyer of Hamden; several grandchildren, including Natasha (Aaron Markin) Boyer of Hamden; several great grandchildren, including Kalen Boyer of Hamden; brothers, Rick (Lila) Thacker of Wellston and Leonard Perkins of New Plymouth and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Kimmy and Roxanne; sister, Shirley Strawser and brother, Gene Thacker.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2022, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
