Barbara Jo Chapman

Barbara Jo Chapman, 76, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at her residence.  She was born November 20, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Mary Ellen Smith Matheny.  Barbara was the widow of the late David A. Chapman.

She retired from Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan.  Along with her husband, Barbara loved playing golf, cards and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah J. (Stephen) Powell of Logan; stepson, Craig Chapman of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Dakota J. Flowers of Logan, Thomas R. (Emily) Powell of Laurelville and Ryan E. (Rachel) Chapman of Athens; great grandchildren, Liam, Elliott and Stella and brothers, John (Pit) Matheny of Phoenix, Arizona, Michael (Vonna) Matheny of Colorado Springs and David (Monika) Matheny of Germany; sister, Carol Patterson of Logan.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2023, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
