Barbara Jean Deal

Barb Deal, 80, of Zaleski, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family & friends. Her children would like to especially acknowledge her granddaughter-in-law Earlana Deal for being by their side and caring for her during this time.

She was born September 10, 1941, in Blacklick, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Anna (Callicoat) Waugh.

Barb was a Homemaker, and a Zaleski Town Council Member. She was a member of the Democratic Party, Turkey Festival Member, and Relay for Life. She loved spending time with her family and friends and going to Ocean Lakes, SC.

She is survived by her children Jim (Lisa) Deal of Columbus, Steve (Kim) Deal of Lancaster, Christine (Wayne) Moore of Zaleski, Pamela (Ray) Zimmerman of McArthur, Randee Deal of Zaleski, Linda Blankenship of Findlay, Tracey (Stacy McClain) Deal of Nelsonville and Scott (Chris) McGlaughlin of Zaleski.  As well as her beloved grandchildren Jim, Matt, Steve, Bryan, Alex, Bill, Sean, Britt, Ashlee, Andrew, John, Krystyna, Adam, Cheyenne, Brandon, Zach, Lisa, Jacob, Jace, Kyle, and Amelia, Barb was also the proud Great Grandmother (Maw) of 32 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Debra Spauling of McArthur and Judy Fulton of Hamden, Brother James Waugh of McArthur and numerous honorary family members.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband James A. Deal, two sons David & Michael Deal, her brothers Tom, Jerry (Doc), Ronald, Charles, Larry, & Bill Waugh, Sister Connie Remy and her brother-in-law Jerry Marvin Deal.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022, in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with Pastor James Dimel officiating.  Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
