Barbara A. Mills

Barbara A. Mills, 72, of The Plains, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born February 5, 1946 in Murray City, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gilbert E. and Martha “Marguerite” Campbell Mitchell. She was married to David Eugene Mills, for 38 years, who survives.

Barbara was a Homemaker, and also worked along side her husband at Bethendale Auto Parts Manufacturing. She was a member of Redtown Free Methodist Church. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.

Along with her husband, Barbara is survived by her sons, David (Barbie) Mills Jr. of Mentor, Michael David (Melissa) Mills of Indiana, John (Teresa) Mills of Glouster, and David Gilbert (Jennifer Loudermilk) Mills of The Plains; daughters, Kim (Doug) Macensek of Chardon, Brenda (Larry) Hopkins of Texas, Michelle (David) Goins of Athens, Romona (Dennis) Lilley of Newberry and Sherri Mills of Mentor; 32 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; brothers Gilbert Mitchell Jr. and William Lee “Bill” Mitchell and an infant granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday March 31, 2018 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street Nelsonville, with her son, John Mills officiating. Interment will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
