Bernadine M. Stewart

Bernadine M. Stewart, 80, of Londonderry, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at her residence.  She was born October 8, 1939 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Glenn “Jiggs” and Bernice Brown Albright.  Bernadine was the widow of the late Eddie Stewart.

She was a 1957 graduate of Allensville High school and was a member of Allensville Alumni.  Bernadine retired from PNC Bank and was a member of the American Legion Post #757.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Tommy) Stewart; grandchildren, Amy (Sam Wilson) Harris; Andrew (Stephanie Tyler) Harris; Nancy (Ryan) Harris; great-grandchildren Tyler and Gunnar Barnett and Caiden and Madilynn Harris; sister Geraldine Curry, sister-in-law Gloria Albright; and many nieces and nephews.

Bernadine was predeceased by her son, Mark Allen Snyder; her husband, Eddie L Stewart; father, Glenn Albright; mother, Bernice Mahoney; twin sister Glennadine Albright Hess and brother-in-law Melvin Hess; and brother Gary Albright.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Tommy Stewart officiating.  Cremation will follow the services.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
