Bernice Marie Albright Mahoney

Bernice Marie Albright Mahoney, 100, of Chillicothe, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at Westmoreland Place in Chillicothe.  She was born July 19, 1918 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Francis Lawrence “Clint” and Clara Maude Harden Brown.  Bernice was the widow of the late Glenn “Jiggs” Albright and the late James Mahoney.

She was a Christian woman who attended various churches.

Bernice is survived by her son, Gary (Gloria) Albright of Chillicothe; daughters, Bernadine Stewart of Vinton County and Geraldine Curry of Chillicothe; son-in-law, Melvin Hess of Frankfort and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Glennadine Hess; two grandsons; three great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Ankrom and Lelia McGee and brothers, Russell, Virgil and Vernor Brown.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Vinton County, with Pastor Willard McCray officiating.  Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Thursday, from 4-6 p.m.
