Bessie "Becky" R. Mcgregor

Bessie R. “Becky” McGregor, 86, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, at her residence.  She was born November 15, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of the late Leroy T. Mathews and Effie Lease Burton.  Becky was the widow of the late John L. McGregor.

She retired from the Athens County Clerk of Courts.

Becky is survived by her son, James (Vicky) McGregor of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Aileen (Michael) Lehman of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Christopher McGregor, Kevin McGregor, Sean Lehman and Michaela Lehman and great grandchildren, Aaron and Brianna McGregor.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020, in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill.  No visitation will be observed.

Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Bessie “Becky” McGregor to the Athens County Dog Shelter, 13333 Ohio-13, Chauncey, Ohio 45719.
