Betty Ruth Gradwohl, 91, of Whitehall, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Main Street Terrace in Lancaster. She was born January 6, 1927 in Columbus, daughter of the late Walter and Garnet Coleman Friddle. Betty was the widow of the late Franklin Allen Gradwohl.
She retired from Lazarus at Eastland Mall in Columbus, was a member of Peace United Methodist Church in Pickerington and was also a member of Beacon Chapter #593 OES in Whitehall.
Betty is survived by her son, David Gradwohl from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; daughter, Sue (Wendell) Johnston of Rockbridge; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Friddle.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Bill Lyle officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 018 in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
