Betty M. Hartley

Betty M. Hartley, 94, of Rome, Georgia, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her residence.  She was born August 24, 1922 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Skivers Hartley.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews including a great niece, Twinkle (Doug) White, with whom she made her home, of Rome, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Clerance “Dude”, James and Jack Hartley and sisters, Joan Hartley, Dorothy Dearth, Louise McCollum, Loa Hickman and Kathleen Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Pastor Ed True officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
