Betty Ann Wells

Betty Ann Wells, 85, of McConnelsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Riverside Landing.  She was born February 2, 1938, in Grafton, West Virginia, to the late William K. and Freda Clair (Carper) Wagner.

Betty was a graduate of Ames-Bern High School.  She previously worked at Burr Oak Lodge.  She had a kind heart and especially loved animals.  She enjoyed bingo, crafts, and she was also very artistic and enjoyed painting on canvas.

Betty is survived by her sister, Deborah Keirns of Glouster; nephews and niece, Brent (Carol) Poches, Kevin (Susanne) Wagner, and Kellee (Jason) Reed; great nephew, Joshua Poches; great nieces, Jessie (Chris) Featherolf and Janay Grubb; and former husband, James Wells.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles W. Wagner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.  Interment will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Homer Township.  Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
