Billy J. Matheny

Billy J. Matheny, 65, of Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his residence.  He was born August 31, 1952 in Nelsonville, son of Doris Potts Matheny of Stockport and the late Jerry David Matheny.  Billy was married to Jill L. Cowen Matheny, who survives.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his children, Tracy (Dwight) Matheny of Pickerington and Brian Matheny of Columbus; stepchildren, Greg (Melissa) Groves of Canal Winchester and Kacie Groves of Pickerington and six grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his father and sister, Jean Ann Matheny.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating.  Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m.
