Bonnie J. Freeman

Bonnie J. Freeman, 87, of Whitehall, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1931 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Lawrence Bond and Naomi Frances McMannis Bond (Harold) France. She was the widow of the late Jim Freeman who passed away in 2006.

Bonnie was a graduate of Nelsonville High School, member of the former Baptist Church of Whitehall, a graduate of the Ohio State School of Cosmetology and was also associated with Borden’s of Columbus for several years before her retirement.

Bonnie is survived by sons, James Michael Freeman of Junction City, Thomas Joseph Freeman of the home and daughter, Sandra Kay Ogden of Columbus; grandchildren, Daniel Stover, Joshua Freeman, Nicole Freeman, Jennifer Stover, Cheyenne Goolsby and Cassady Freeman; great grandchildren, Ashley, Caleb, Isabella, Jaida, and Abigail Marie; brother, Richard (Alfretta) Bond of Gahanna; sisters, Joellen Abdella of Chauncey and Barbara (Tom) McDonald of Nelsonville as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Paul Freeman; a brother, David France and a brother-in-law, Edward Abdella.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday April 12, 2018 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street Nelsonville with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
