Calvin D. Backus

Calvin D. Backus, 61, of Logan, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan.  He was born July 15, 1955 in Columbus, son of the late Donald and Freda Harris Backus.  Calvin was married to Patty Plank Backus, who survives.

He was a retired electrician.

In addition to his wife, Calvin is survived by his son, Jacob Donald Backus of Logan; daughter, Kelly (William) Coakley of Logan; grandchildren, Anna Backus and Madalyn Coakley and a sister, Sharon Vesco of Gahanna.

Services will be held at 3:30 pm, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan.  Friends may call from 2 pm until the time of the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Calvin Backus to the Hocking County Humane Society, 36069 Hocking Drive, Logan, Ohio 43138.
