Cara Dawne Gill

Cara Dawne Gill, 82, of McArthur, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.  She was born July 22, 1940, in Allensville, Ohio, daughter of the late Ivan and Laura Fout Allen.  Cara Dawne was married for 58 years to the late David L. Gill.

She was formerly employed at McArthur Savings and Loan for 35 years.  Cara Dawne attended and was very active in the McArthur United Methodist Church.  She was a 1958 Allensville Bomber, a devoted wife, mother and she dearly loved her grandson, Gregory.

Cara Dawne is survived by her son, David Allen (Christina) Gill of McArthur; grandson, David Gregory Gill of McArthur; brother, Robert (Kathy) Allen of Danville, Kentucky; sisters, Rosemary Reynolds of Danville, Kentucky and Connie (Steve) Yambor of Naples, Florida and brother-in-law, Mike (Cathy) Gill of Centerville, Ohio.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in the McArthur United Methodist Church, 200 S. Market St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman and Pastor William Roth officiating.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.  Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
