Carl W. Buttrick, 89, of Lancaster, formerly of Logan, passed away Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Altercare Lanfair Nursing Home in Lancaster. He was born June 6, 1929 in Minden, West Virginia, son of the late Carl W. and Florence Nelson Buttrick Sr. He was married to the late Eleanor Murphy Buttrick, for 62 years, who preceded him in death.
Carl was a US. Army Veteran. He was a retired Truck Driver, and worked for the Nelsonville Food Pantry. He also worked in Maintenance for Joe Harbarger.
He is survived by son, Marvin Buttrick of Logan; daughter, Deborah Wilson of Westerville; grandchildren, Ambir (Stephen) Helber of Rushville, Cassandra Kline of Glenford, Amanda Kline of Hilliard and Sarah (Kevin McKeefry) Riffle of Chicago; great grandchildren, Hunter, Haley and Donny, Lillyanna, Kayden and Travis; brother, Mike Buttrick of McArthur; sister, Betty Meece of Jackson; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Carl’s wishes were to be cremated, and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
