Carlus "Carl" E. Ashmore

Carlus “Carl” E. Ashmore, 65, of McArthur, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home. Carl was born on November 25, 1958, the son of the late George W. and Cora (Woodard) Ashmore. He was married to Teresa (Richards) Ashmore, who survives.

Carl worked as a timber cutter. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed having his family around.

Carl is survived by his wife, Teresa; sons, Jason (Mandy) Holstine and Carlus “Rob” Ashmore;  eight gandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers, Marvin “Poncho” (Cheryl) Ashmore, George (Stacy) Ashmore, and Jack “Jake” Ashmore.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeremy Ashmore; great-grandson, Liam Farney; and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Holstine.

A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are through the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
