Carolyn Sue Crane

Carolyn Sue Crane, 86, of Logan, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Embassy of Logan. She was born on September 29, 1937, in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Carpenter) Forbes. She was married for 70 years to Louis “Gene” Crane, who survives.

Carolyn was a graduate of Nelsonville High School. She worked for a time at Brooks Shoe Company in Nelsonville and retired from General Electric in Logan. Carolyn loved reading novels and she was a huge OSU football fan.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Gene; son, Douglas (Gabby) Crane of Logan; daughter, Terri Cunningham of Athens; grandsons, Brian Crane and Mike (April) Crane; great granddaughter, Josie Crane; and sister, Joyce Burns of Athens.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Curtis Phillips; sister, Sandra Coen; brother-in-law, John Burns; and niece, Jonna Burns.

No services will be held. Arrangements are by the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
