Catherine M. Murphy

Catherine M. Murphy, 69, of Logan, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.  She was born September 1, 1948 in McArthur, daughter of the late Wilbur and Thelma Props Johnston Murphy.

Catherine retired from Hocking Valley Industries and was a devoted member of the Hocking Hills United Methodist Church.  She loved many activities including music, scrapbooking, shopping, eating out and being Dr. Murphy.

Catherine is survived by the love of her life and partner of more than 30 years, Philip Joseph; a sister, Nora Mae Carter of New Plymouth; several nieces and nephews and her loving caregiver, Tammy Hamilton

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ellie Buttrick

The family will be forever grateful to the caring staff at the Sech-Kar Company.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Rodney Rogers officiating.  Interment will be at Shaw Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
