Cecil O. Brickles, 93, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born February 15, 1926 in Meigs, County, son of the late Roy and Mabel Carl Brickles.
Cecil was a retired tool and die maker for Western Electric, a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the VFW in Pomeroy.
He is survived by his son, Greg (Linda) Brickles of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Beth (Jerry) Mills of Pomeroy and Shawn Brickles of Miamisburg and many nieces; nephews and cousins that he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Brickles.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Brice Utt officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Silvercreek Cemetery II, Jamestown, Ohio with military graveside services being conducted by the Beavercreek VFW Post #8312 Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Wednesday, from 10 am until the time of the service.
