Charles G. Harper

Charles G. Harper, 74, of McArthur, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Community Hospice Care in Ashland, Kentucky.  He was born October 21, 1946, in Vinton County, Ohio, son of the late Glenneth and Marjorie Tatman Harper.

Charlie formerly owned Charlie Harpers Excavating Business in McArthur was a former Vinton County Jackson Township Trustee and was a member of Delta Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Blevins of Ashland, Kentucky; lifelong companion, Jane Lawhead of McArthur, her children, Jessi Guess and Kevin (Kim) Craig and grandchildren, Lily Guess and Calvin Craig and nephews, Douglas (Jan) Blevins and Brent Blevins, both of Ashland, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, with a Masonic service being held at 12:30 p.m.
