Clyde Hall

March 4, 1935 — July 26, 2020

Clyde Hall, 85, of McArthur, passed away July 26, 2020, at Doctors Hospital in Columbus.  He was born March 4, 1935, in Garner, Kentucky, son of the late Orville and Connie Slone Hall.  Clyde was married to Carolyn Akers Hall, who survives.

He retired as the Director of Human Resources at Rockwell Automation in Gallipolis and formerly worked at Austin Powder.  Clyde was a United States Air Force Veteran, a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church and a charter member of the former Lions Club in McArthur.  He was a former Vinton County School Board Member and was highly active in getting the new schools built in the area.  Clyde was also incredibly involved with Boy Scouts of America, where he received the Silver Beaver Award.

Along with his wife Carolyn, he is survived by his son, Steve (Nancy) Hall of Cleveland; granddaughter, Carol Hall of Cleveland; sister, Wilma Huffman of Pickerington and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Woody Hall and sister, Alma Dean Blimes.

Private services will be held in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Clyde Hall to the McArthur United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 216, McArthur, Ohio 45651.
