Connie Norway Phillips

Connie A. Norway Phillips, 76, of The Plains, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 18, 2022.  Connie was born February 28, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Donald and Ruby (Overby) Swanson.  She was the widow of the late Gerald Phillips.

Connie retired from the Ohio University School of Business.  She loved her flowers and gardening; her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also loved the beach and football, especially Ohio State Football.

Connie is survived by her sons, Ronald (Becky) Norway of New Marshfield and Jon (Tammy) Norway of Nelsonville; step sons, Gerald (Holly) Phillips of Medina and Steve (Dawn) Phillips of Brunswick; grandchildren, Tara, Amber, Patrick, Robert, Tyler, Alex, Madison, Annie, Megan, Jenna, and Jessica; 8 great grandchildren; and special friend, Wib Warren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Clayton Robert “Bob” Swanson.

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
