Corrine Mcguire

Corrine McGuire, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Lancaster. She was born November 16, 1933, in Buchtel, the daughter of the late Walter Alonzo Bolen and Letha Leona (Griffin) Smith. She was married for 69 years to Max Sheldon McGuire who survives.

Corrine was a 1950 graduate of Buchtel High School. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Logan.

In addition to her husband, Corrine is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Joe) Kuhner of Amanda; son, Rev. Max Steven (Rosemarie) McGuire of Lancaster; grandchildren, Stephanie McGuire, Nathan McGuire, and Tyler (Daisy Rodriguez) McGuire; brother, Lowell Bolen of Athens; and sister-in-law, Patricia Morrison.

Corrine was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Albert James “Shine” Smith; daughter, Carol Sue McGuire; brothers, John (Becky) McGregor, Don (Donna) Morrison, Bob Morrison, and Henry “Bucky” Morrison; and sister-in-law, Ruth Bolen.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Dr. David Case officiating and assisted by Rev. Steven McGuire. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
