Curtis C. Thomas, 78, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster. He was born March 16, 1939, in Columbus, son of the late Lloyd and Dorothy Strayer Thomas. He was married to Pamela Webb Thomas who survives.
Curtis retired from Lazarus and Priority Shipping Co., and was the former owner of Fifth Avenue Lumber Co. in Columbus. He was a member of the Army Reserves; Lodge member of F&AM, Columbus and former member of the Logan Moose Lodge.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Steve (Lori) Thomas of Bowdon, Georgia and Scott (Nancy) Thomas of Plain City; daughter, Kelly (Craig) Kohl of Lewis Center; step-daughter, Stephanie (Gary) Sigler of Rushville, fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Ross Thomas of Westerville; nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by step-sons, Larry “Mike” Mohler, Shawn Mohler and Anthony “Tony” Nelson; granddaughter, Olivia Thomas; brothers, Jack, Robert and Richard “Dick” Thomas; sisters, Betty Jones, Nancy Elkins, Mary Jane Curtis and Barbara Flescher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with the Rev. Michael Sigler officiating. Friends may visit Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be later in Union Cemetery, Columbus.
