Daniel Edward Shook

Daniel Edward Shook, 77, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Four Winds Nursing Home in Jackson.  He was born August 26, 1940 in Jackson, Ohio, son of the late Wayne and Mary Ward Shook.   Daniel was married to Barbara Ruth Rose Shook, who survives.

He was a retired truck driver, a Navy Veteran and a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in McArthur.

Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel Wayne Shook of Ironton; stepdaughter, Tammy Juergens of Gahanna and a step granddaughter, Savannah Lewie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Drake.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating .  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with military graveside honors conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
