Darcus Barnett, 93, of Hamden, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020, at her residence. She was born February 25, 1927, in Martin County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Mike and Sara Ousley. Darcus was the widow of the late Guy E. Barnett.
She was a member of Maggie Home Church in Dundas.
Darcus is survived by her sons, Roy (Gail) Barnett of Jackson and Raymond Barnett of Hamden; daughters, Bonnie (Ronald) Darby of Ashville, Sue Frazee of Groveport, Judy (Jerry) Keesee of McArthur, Vonda (Roger) Mercer of McArthur, Wonda (Charlie) Hall of Marietta, Patricia Hamilton of McArthur, Vileta (Andrew) Courts of Wellston and Anita (Mark) Ousley of Dundas; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren and brothers, Dallas (Madge) Ousley of McArthur and Burley Ousley of McArthur.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Barnett; grandson, Travis Hamilton; brothers, Arnold, Archie and Hermal Ousley and sister, Hazel Riffet, Ila Mae Dunlap and Lelia LeMay.
Private services will be held at Maggie Home Church, Dundas with Elder Donald Mullins, Elder Daniel Newsome and Elder Joe Gilliland officiating. Interment will be held in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. No visitation will be held.
Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
