Darell Wayne Leonard

Darell Wayne Leonard, 70, of Hamden, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.  He was born August 24, 1951, in Oak Hill, Ohio, son of the late Wendell Wayne and Vergie Johnson Leonard.  Darell was married to the late Elizabeth Ann Waldron Leonard.

He was a truck driver, a member of the Hamden United Methodist Church and was extremely helpful to others.

Darell is survived by his son, David (Leanna) Leonard of Mt. Sterling and Bill Lewis of Hamden; daughters, Christine (Christopher) Hughes of Columbus, Rebekah (Ken) Holton of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Amy (Brian) Robinson of Columbus; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Rita (Jimmy) Salyers of Jackson, Debbie Shephard of Oak Hill and Mary (Larry) McGlone of Oak Hill; son-in-law, Danny Harmon of Hamden and his friend and caregiver, Jean Krack of Hamden.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Leonard, daughter, Ryann Harmon; infant brother, Charles Leonard and grandson, Jeth Leonard.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Dan Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden, Ohio.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
