David S. Mcwhorter

David S. McWhorter, 43, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.  He was born March 8, 1978, in Chillicothe, son of Brenda McWhorter Collier of McArthur and Donald King of Wellston.

He formerly worked for T and D Thompson in Laurelville.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his children, Jacob and Nathan McWhorter of South Bloomingville; daughter, McKenzie McWhorter of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Ethan, Zachary and Hope; three half sisters in Wellston; grandmother, Phyllis King of Wellston; former wife, Andrea McWhorter; three children whom he helped raised, Austin, Tiffany and David; aunt and uncle, Brenda and Terry McWhorter and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric McWhorter; sister, Stephanie Holstine and grandparents, Carl and Barbara McWhorter.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Danny Minton officiating.  Interment will be in Little Mound Cemetery, Ross County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
