David Doyle Shelby Sr.

David Shelby, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 21st, 2021.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, David and Rena Shelby (Gladman), his sister Edith (Shelby) Burkitt, and his loving wife, and best friend, Vickie Shelby.

He is survived by his son, David Shelby Jr, his daughter, Jackie Shelby, grandchildren, TJ Brown, Tiffin Shelby, Tammy Poore, Sarah (Wil) Aquilar, Dani (Kenny Dennison) Ross, Laura (Josh) Mettler, and Matthew Lewis, 19 great-grandchildren, his companion, Marie Brickey, and many more family members, friends, and loved ones.

David cherished time spent with his family and loved carpentry, gardening, and his animals almost as much as he loved singing for The Lord with his wife. While he will be missed by many, his love and wisdom will carry on for many generations to come.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Phil Stevens officiating.  Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
