David Lee Sowers

David Lee Sowers, 64, of McArthur, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.  He was born September 6, 1955 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late John M. and Mary Irene Bethel Sowers.  David was married to Mary Margaret “Maggie” Owings Sowers, who survives.

Along with his wife Maggie, he owned and operated Giovanni’s Pizza in McArthur and was a member of the McArthur Eagles.

David is survived by his sons, Kyle Sowers and John (Nikki) Sowers, both of McArthur; grandchildren, Kameron and Kennedy Sowers and brothers, Jim (Kay) Sowers and Mike (Kathy) Sowers, both of McArthur.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bud, Johnny and Bob Sowers and sisters, Joyce Lynch and Kandy Owings.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in the Garett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Justin and Arron Conley officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.
