Dean Atkins

Dean Atkins, 37, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his residence.  He was born March 17, 1980 in Columbus, Ohio, son of Roger Dean Atkins of Rockbridge and Judith Pack of Logan.  Dean was married to Leslie Nelson Atkins, who survives.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lilly Marie Atkins of Logan; son, Trevor Dean Atkins of Logan; sisters, Crystal (Lloyd) Strawser of Logan, Elizabeth and Grace Atkins of Rockbridge; grandparents, Dexter Atkins and Kenny McIntosh; stepmother, Lori Atkins of Rockbridge; father and mother-in-law, Rocky and Christine Nelson of Rockbridge; sister-in-law, Kimberly (Andrew) Goodwin of Georgetown, Indiana; niece, Destiny Hoffman of Nelsonville; nephew, Trent Hoffman of Logan and his closest friend and cousin, Nate Atkins of Logan.

Dean was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Maxine Miller and Mary Jane Jarboe and grandfather, Raymond Pack.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Steven Boggs officiating.  Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Atkins Family Fund at the Citizens Bank, 188 W. Main St., Logan, Ohio 43138.
