Dean Robert Sigler

Dean Robert Sigler, 71, of Logan, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. Dean was born on June 23, 1953, in Columbus, the son of the late Robert Vernon and Betty Ann (Noland) Sigler. He was married for 39 years to Pamela J. (Hatfield) Sigler, who survives.

Dean was a 1971 graduate of Logan High School. He previously worked for the Logan Police Department and retired from Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster. Dean was an avid football fan, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. He also loved to fish and shoot guns.

Dean is survived by his wife, Pam; daughters, Diana Cahrier of California, Jennifer (Noel) Kelly of Lancaster, and Kelli Sigler of Logan; son, Andrew (Jamie) Sigler of Salem, Ohio; several grandchildren; siblings, Darlene (Dan) Sigler Mahaffey of Lancaster, Sally Ann Sigler of Lancaster, Bruce Thomas (Wenda) Sigler of Logan, Annie Covert of Rockbridge, Alan W. (Lee Ann Ball) Sigler of Logan, and Craig Michael (Janice) Sigler of Zanesville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom (Kathy Hanning) Hatfield Jr of Logan, Don (Robin Key) Hatfield Sr of Logan, Valentine (Connie) Hatfield of Logan, Jeff Hatfield of Rockbridge, Amy (David) Grove of Logan, and Darrell Dexter Jr of New Plymouth; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Tom and Evelyn Hatfield Sr; and sisters-in-law, Debby Dexter, Cindy Hatfield, and Cookie Hatfield.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan, with D.J. Hatfield officiating. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
