Della L. Clowes

August 7, 1935 — June 21, 2017

Della L. Clowes, 81, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at her residence.  She was born August 7, 1935 in Columbus, daughter of the late Fred and Elsie Castrop Snyder.

She retired from Crossroads and was a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Murray City Eagles.

Della is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Mike) White of Nelsonville, Lois “Sissy” Clowes of Nelsonville and Jeri (Max) Moran of Frazeysburg; daughter-in-law, Janice Clowes of Millfield; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren and a brother, Thom Snyder of Parker Heights, Texas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Clowes and son, Tom Clowes.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.  Friends may call at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, on Monday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
