Dellius "Dee" Lloyd Shannon Jr

Dellius “Dee” Lloyd Shannon Jr, 64, of McArthur, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. Dee was born on November 10, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Ruth (Wise) Shannon and the late Dellius Lloyd Shannon Sr. He was married to Kristi Ann (Rose) Shannon who survives.

Dee worked many years for Superior Hardwoods and he also mowed lawns all over town. He will be remembered as an amazing Dad who always loved to hang out with his children and grandchildren. He also loved fishing, auctions, and collecting. Dee has always been a hard worker.

Dee is survived by his wife, Kristi; son, Lloyd Shannon of McArthur; daughter, Amanda (Jason) Wilbur of Wellston; adopted son, Austin Williams; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lindsey and Joe Noel-Shannon; mother, Ruth; and sisters, Michelle Hagenbaugh of Dayton and Melanie (Terry) Duckworth of Dayton.

Dee was preceded in death by his father and sisters, Juanita Shannon and Marilyn Shannon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Family and friends may visit from 12 to 2 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Donations can be made in memory of Dee to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
