Donald Eugene Bobo

Donald Eugene Bobo, 73, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.  He was born September 1, 1944 in Guysville, Ohio, son of the late Harley and Mary Loeffler Bobo.  Don was married to Rose Ann Jarvis Bobo, who survives.

He retired after 25 years as an underground coalminer and was a veteran of the United States Army.  Don was a member of the McArthur Eagles and McArthur VFW.

He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Al Stout) Bobo of Pomeroy, Donna Hutt of McArthur and Melissa (David) Herrold of McArthur; several grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Dale) Bobo of Rapid City, South Dakota, Harley Bobo Jr. of California, Stephen (Myong) Bobo of Vacaville, California and Vernon (Juanita) Bobo of McArthur; sisters, Patty (William) Love of Athens and Linda (John) Ward of McArthur; several nieces, nephews and cousins including special nieces and nephew, Cory, Kaitlen and Layne Danner.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Kay Voelker; nephew, William Love Jr. and great great niece, Sierra Danner.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Thomas “Gene” Jividen officiating.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m.
